Mark Smith is the founder and managing partner of SMITH arenas. Mark spent more than 25 years as an award-winning marketing professional integrating technology, best-in-class client experience and elegant solutions to drive some of the world’s most incredible brands. Mark provides the stewardship and strategic direction of the facility which provides a suite of sports, recreation, training and technology services to athletes and guests in southeastern Michigan. Through education, experience and energy, Mark is proud to be among an elite team that brings a special project like this to an area that truly deserves the best for its athletes and community.

As an honors graduate from Michigan State University and a Masters of Business Administration honors graduate from the University of Phoenix, Mark is recognized for his expertise in team management and leadership development. Applying these skills, Mark is able lead the team in providing an exceptional guest experience, technology-assisted athlete conditioning, and coaching and leadership to allow for long-term success.
Herman Moore is the owner and CEO of Team 84, LLC, a certified MBE holding company. Team 84, LLC owns and operates Team Business Solutions; an ISO 9001:2015 certified highly specialized print management and promotion solutions entity, Team 84 Marketing; a full-service marketing, branding, and advertising agency, and Team 84 Staffing; an employee management and recruiting agency. Team 84, LLC and its’ subsidiaries operate out of 12 offices in five states, four countries and are Minority Business Certified.
Herman Moore is never short on ideas. In fact, he has a gift for bringing together people, businesses, and assets to create revenue-generating products and services. That is how Team 84’s suite of businesses came to be.
Born as a marketing agency in 2013, Team 84 took shape as Moore uncovered new business opportunities and started to plug them in. Much like putting a puzzle together, each subsidiary of Team 84 was brought in to provide new services and to serve the overall group.

A graduate of University of Virginia, Moore was the Detroit Lions’ first-round draft pick in 1991. He went on to earn accolades on the field and off the field as an NFL analyst, promotional products vendor, Cinnabon franchisee and consultant to corporate and nonprofit clients. He was a Crain’s Detroit Business 40 under 40 honoree in 2003.
His storied football career accomplishments include honors as the only Detroit Lions receiver to catch more than 100 receptions in three consecutive seasons – and Moore is known as one of the most productive wide receivers in NFL history.
Today, Herman Moore serves as a member of the Virginia Athletics Foundation Board of Trustees at the University of Virginia. He is also the founder of the Tackle Life Foundation which provides essential life skills and experiences to youth to assist successful individual growth and development. Moore additionally serves as an ambassador for Henry Ford Health System’s Game On Cancer campaign, The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit 2020 Red Kettle Campaign Corporate Chairperson, and as a board member for the Ally Jolie Baldwin Foundation (allyjoliebaldwinfoundation.org) which is dedicated to promoting patient care support through the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
Greg Jones went to Highschool in Cincinnati Ohio where he went All-State playing linebacker. He played college football for Michigan State University, and was a two-time All-American where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts and Technology. The New York Giants selected him in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, and he was a member of the Giants’ Super Bowl Championship team against the New England Patriots following the 2011
season. He has also played for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans, the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts, Saskatchewan Roughriders and the UFL’s Las Vegas Locomotives. Philosophy to create an environment for athletes to become the most complete players they can be and make an impact on players to allow them to have success on and off the field.
Born in Rochester, Michigan, Janicki attended Anchor Bay High School, where he recorded a school soccer record of 74 goals and 32 assists in three seasons. As a senior, he placed third in the voting for Michigan’s Mr. Soccer Award. Janicki played college soccer for Michigan State University, playing 61 matches over four seasons. During his senior year, Janicki played in eighteen games, tallying two goals and an assist, and was named as a second-team member of the NSCAA/Adidas All-Great Lakes Region team, and to the All-Big Ten First Team. During his college years, Janicki also played in the USL Premier Development League for both Michigan Bucks and West Michigan Edge. Janicki signed his first professional contract in 2008, playing in the USL Second Division for Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Following the conclusion of the 2008 USL-2 season, Janicki was loaned to D.C. United of Major League Soccer for the remainder of the year making his debut for the team on October 1, 2008 in a group stage match of the CONCACAF Champions League 2008–09 game against Mexican side Cruz Azul. He appeared in three league games and five Champions League matches in 2008, after which he was signed to a senior contract. Greg went on to play with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, San Antonio Scorpions, and with NASL club Indy Eleven.
Kurt is the executive producer of numerous TV shows including creator and host of the Emmy Award Winning TV Show and acclaimed book, “From Glory Days” which interviews Hall of Fame and World Champion former professional athletes about their successful transition into life AFTER pro sports. Following his life as a professional basketball player, Kurt re-created his success by discovering 5 Keys for successfully navigating Sudden Change. These same 5 R.U.L.E.S., as he calls them, propelled him like rocket fuel into the next phases of his life as an Emmy Award Winning TV Show Producer; Acclaimed Author of two books (FROM GLORY DAYS – Successful Transitions of Professional Detroit Athletes and THE CHANGE – Insights into Self-Empowerment (co-authored); owner of Glory Days Production, LLC which creates television shows; and Co-Founder of PurposePoint.com which helps organizations reconnect with their Mission, Vision, and Values.
Peter has dedicated his life to helping millions of people around the world become the best version of themselves through his health and wellness principles. After surviving two near death experiences related to Crohn’s Disease, Peter refused to give up. He’s won 50 bodybuilding titles, including Mr. International Universe. He then decided he wanted to share his knowledge with the world, and created and hosted his syndicated TV and Radio ShowsPeter’s Principles. He’s excited about his new TV show which airs on Discovery Life Network, every Friday from 7am-7:30am EST.
